Guyette & Deeter's 30th Annual Spring Decoy Auction Grosses Over $2 million

St. Charles, Illinois - Guyette & Deeter conducted their 30th annual spring decoy auction on April 23 and 24 at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, Illinois. It was held in conjunction with the National Antique Decoy & Sporting Collectibles Show. The auction grossed just over $2 million, which was near mid-estimate, with 32 lots selling for over $10,000. There was an audience of just under 400, with most of them participating in the bidding. There were 136 phone and absentee bidders and 933 registered online bidders. The top two lots in the sale were an important goldeneye drake by the Ward Brothers that sold for $80,500 and a Monhegan Island style breast preening scoter by Gus Wilson that sold for $69,000.

Guyette & Deeter's next sale will be held on July 28 & 29 at the Sherton Harborside Hotel in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Consignments accepted until June 5, or until full.;
