April 22 & 23, 2004 - St. Charles, Illinois
This was the 3rd highest grossing decoy auction ever. 900+ lots. Featuring decoys from the collections of John Delph, Bill Staplin, Willaim Heaton, Ron Adamson, Harry V. Shourds III and Roy Paterson. This auction was pretty exciting. The crowd was very large and motivated. The phone lines were very busy and there were a great deal of absentee bids. Prices started strong and got higher as the auction progressed. The result was a gross of $4.3 million, 35% above estimate.
