November 11 & 12, 2009 Decoy Auction - Easton, Maryland

Guyette & Schmidt, Inc. conducted their annual fall decoy auction on November 11th & 12th, 2009, at the Talbot County Community Center. The sale grossed $1.41 million with 29 lots selling for over $10,000 each. Top lot in the sale was a pair of greenwing teal by Charles Bergman of Astoria, Oregon. It sold for $63,250, which was above its presale estimate. A blackduck by Lee Dudley (Knotts Island, NC) sold for over twice its estimate at $60,375. A Cobb Island curlew sold for $35,650 which was nearly five times its presale estimate
