Summer Auction Totals $4.9 Million!

Easton, Maryland – Our July 26 and 27 auction at the Country School in Easton, Maryland grossed just shy of $5 million with six lots selling for over $100,000 and 91 lots bringing $10,000 or more.  The sale featured Session II, which is the final offering, of the Alan and Elaine Haid collection.  Many of the decoys from the Haid collection had been published in multiple reference books and were well known by the decoy collecting community.  The competition among bidders for these iconic decoys was high in both Session I and Session II, resulting in a collection total of $6.26 million.  There was high demand in many regions and categories including contemporary carvings by McNair, McIntyre, Wozny, Weaver, and Brewer.  We continue to be the go-to auction house for quality American folk sculpture with weathervanes, trade signs, fish plaques, and Native American carvings bringing very strong prices.

Below are some of the highlights from the auction.  If you have an item or collection you would like us to consider for our future auctions, please don't hesitate to call Jon at 440-610-1768 or Zac at 207-321-8091.
