IN PERSON

Guyette & Deeter, Inc. auctions are always free and open to the public. There is a preview prior to each auction; the night before and for at least 2 hours prior to each auction session. During the previews you can register with our friendly office staff, view the decoys, speak directly to our decoy experts and mingle with other decoy collectors and enthusiasts. Registration is also free. During the registration process you will be assigned a bidding number and have the option to buy a catalog and join our email list. At any time after successfully bidding, and winning an auctioned item, you may check out and pick up your decoy. Just visit the auction office again where they will print your invoice. Once the item is paid in full, you will receive your pick up slip and be directed to a designated area to pick up decoys. The tagging staff will locate the decoy you purchased. You can take the item with you or make arrangements for shipping.

If you are unable to attend a Guyette & Deeter, Inc. decoy auction in person, we encourage you to bid phone, absentee or bid online.

ABSENTEE BIDDING

A form is provided in the back of the catalog and online here. Complete the form and either mail or fax to our Maryland office at: PO Box 1170, St. Michaels, MD 21663 Fax: 410-745-0487. You may also call any one of our offices and place your absentee bid over the phone with a member of our knowledgeable staff. Absentee bids are accepted up until the auction begins. A trained staff member executes all of the absentee bids competitively on your behalf.

PHONE BIDDING

The same form in the back of the catalog and online here can be used for phone bidding. No bid amount is needed as you will be on the phone, live at the auction with one of our trained staff members. However, clients traveling and unaware if you will be able to be reached are encouraged to leave an "emergency bid." An emergency bid is your top bid amount for our staff to bid up to on your behalf, only if we are unable to reach you by phone.

ONLINE BIDDING

Online bidding is available through INVALUABLE. The entire catalog is viewable through the Invaluable website. With online internet bidding, you're able to watch each lot as it comes up for sale and watch the bidding increments. Registration is free and there is no obligation to buy - you can choose to merely watch the entire auction.
