The Jim and Diane Cook collection

Over the last 40+ years Jim and Diane Cook of Minneapolis, Minnesota have acquired many of the rarest and finest condition decoys by most of the major carvers from around the country. Buying from major auction houses, from dealers, as well as buying and trading with other collectors, the Cooks were very active in the 1980's and early 1990's, when a steady supply of really rare and outstanding decoys were coming to market. When the Cooks decided to add a particular item to the collection, they typically didn't stop bidding till they were the new owners. Many world record prices for different carvers were reached thanks to the spirited bidding and focused collecting of Jim and Diane Cook. The result of a four-decade pursuit of the finest decoys from around the country, is the Jim and Diane Cook Collection, the finest collection of waterfowl decoys ever assembled.

Session I of the Cook collection will be offered in our April auction
